ITER

As the world’s largest international nuclear fusion research project, it aims to develop next-generation clean energy based on the principles of the sun.

Since entering into a technical support agreement with the Korea Institute of Fusion Energy (KFE) in 2012, MECHA TNS Co., Ltd. has established itself as a trusted partner in the nuclear fusion industry. The company has demonstrated its EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) capabilities across multiple fusion projects.

This project, jointly participated in by seven major members—EU, the United States, Russia, Japan, China, India, and Korea—represents the first large-scale experimental reactor construction initiative aimed at the commercialization of fusion technology. It requires the design and fabrication of equipment capable of operating under extreme conditions, including high vacuum, high temperature, and cryogenic environments.

Through the ITER project, MECHA TNS has participated in the design and manufacturing of key components such as Thermal Shields, Manifold Supports, Pipe & Bending Tools, and mock-up parts. By leveraging its integrated EPC capabilities covering design, analysis, fabrication, and testing, the company has built strong technical trust with global partners.

In addition to supplying equipment for ITER, the company continues to expand its technological foundation in preparation for the era of fusion commercialization through collaboration with KFE (Korea Institute of Fusion Energy) and the ITER Organization (IO).

EPC and Analysis Capabilities

Manufacturing with special materials (Alloy718/Grade660/Sus304LN/G11-E glass, etc.)

Mock-up production and verification tests (leakage test, cryogenic test, etc.)
